Bonus demand

The Tiruchi – Thanjavur District Hotel and General Worker’s Union has demanded four months salary as bonus to the permanent employees working in hotels, lodges, sweet shops and cool drink shops in Tiruchi and Thanjavur districts.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the union meeting held here recently presided by its president M. Kathiresan. The union has also demanded two months salary as bonus for the temporary workers.

It wanted the bonus amount to be paid before October 31.
