Bangalore: If the present political crisis is all about three parties working out ideological and numerical combinations in a vexed numbers game, a spot of numerology could propel ambitious individuals to believe the political dice will roll in their direction. Numerology’s latest convert is the chief-minister-in-waiting, B.S. Yeddyurappa, formerly known as B.S. Yediyurappa. The advertisement appeared in this publication tucked away in a discreet corner of Page 8 on October 27, the day that he was pulled out of the political doldrums and pitch-forked back into the limelight in a spectacular fashion. When contacted, the family sought to explain it away as a pronunciation necessity. But the “Yeddy” in the name is causing eddies in certain circles.
