Big win for New Zealand

BLOEMFONTEIN: The touring New Zealanders crushed a South African Invitation XI by 216 runs with a day to spare at Goodyear Park on Saturday.

The Invitation XI, set to make 308 to win, was bundled out for 91 in its second innings. Shane Bond (three for 26) and Jacob Oram (two for 14) shared the first five wickets.

The scores: New Zealand 318 & 145 (C. Cumming 67, Kent four for 45) bt South African Invitation XI 156 & 91 (T Tsolekile 30, Bond three for 26).
