Security guard injured as his rifle goes off accidentally

NEW DELHI: A 25-year-old security guard got injured when his rifle went off accidentally in Connaught Place here on Saturday evening.

According to the police, Sanjeev Kumar, deployed outside ICICI Bank in Connaught Place, was chatting up with his colleague when he accidentally fired from his rifle around 5-30 p.m.

He was taken to Safdarjung Hospital where the authorities informed the police about the incident. The Connaught Place police are investigating the incident.
