Gowda wants Krishna sacked
Special Correspondent
Bangalore: The former Prime Minister and national president of the Janata Dal (Secular), H.D. Deve Gowda, has urged President Pratibha Patil to dismiss Maharashtra Governor S.M. Krishna on charges of “playing a direct role in party politics.”
Mr. Gowda said the Governor was attending Congress party meetings in a room at the Chowdaiah Memorial hall.
“If he is so keen on tendering advice, let him quit the gubernatorial post. It is highly unethical for a Governor to play a direct role in party politics.”
Mr. Krishna was not available for comment at his Bangalore residence.
