Spread a little light
BANGALORE: What better way to celebrate the festive season than help our craftspersons? The Central Cottage Industries Corporation has an ongoing sale of Shekhawati furniture as well as carved furniture from Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. In addition, there are also bedspreads and table linen from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, and, of course, a wide range of diyas for Deepavali.
Apart from the exhibition which is on till November 7, the showroom, on M.G. Road, has a representation of all crafts from the country. These include items such as Rajasthani wooden dolls and furniture, Dokra figurines from West Bengal and Chhattisgarh, traditional and contemporary paintings, silver jewellery, gems and stones and so on.
