Stationery amount for police stations

ADILABAD: Station House Officers (SHO) of respective police stations can now spend money for purchase of stationery as expenditure during investigations as a fund for the purpose has been created. While urban police stations will get to spend Rs. 9,000 per quarter, rural police stations will have a Rs. 6,000 budget for such period. A press release from Adilabad Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar said SHOs have been designated as drawing officers in order to draw money for these expenditures from concerned sub-treasuries. Government intends to provide funds to police stations for meeting day-to-day expenditure required for administration, he added. -Staff Reporter
