Belgaum: The Managing Director of Karnataka Land Army Corporation has suspended two officers on charges of dereliction of duty allegedly shown by them during Kittur Utsav-2007, held from Oct.23 to 25. According to official sources here on Sunday, the Deputy Commissioner M.E. Shivalingmurthy had recommended suspension of KLAC’s Assistant Director A.L. Kagwad and Assistant Engineer V.N. Patil for alleged dereliction of duty. The officers were also charged with not cooperating with the administration in organising the three-day Government-sponsored event. — Staff Correspondent
