Rajahmundry: The annual conference of Andhra Pradesh Diabetes Federation has called upon women to take precautionary measures against diabetes. The conference has warned that women are more prone to diabetes than men. NTR Health University Vice-Chancellor A.V. Krishnam Raju, while participating in the conference on Sunday, said that prevention was better than cure in the case of many diseases. Conference organising secretary Kandula Sai said that the number of women among diabetic patients was more when compared to men. More care should be taken after 40 years of age, he said. Thinking more on small issue by women was one of the reasons for diabetes, he said and advised women to take more care and undergo regular health check-up. Professor Edward Jude from UK, S.R. Aravind, Claes Goran Votson, Dr. Ganni Bhaskar Rao, Dr. Anil Kumar, Aalapati Laxminarayana, Dr. Karri Rama Reddy, Dr. Anasuri Padmalatha, Uttama Lakshmi and others participated in the second day conference on Sunday.
