Call to expedite drainage scheme

TIRUCHI: The Tiruchi District Consumers Council urged the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board to expedite the execution of underground drainage scheme in the city on a war footing.

A resolution adopted to this effect said although deadlines had been fixed off and on for the completion of the project, it was yet to be completed.

Another resolution urged the Corporation not to hike the water tax on any account. Nor should the deposit sum be enhanced.
