ARANTHANGI: A 45-year-old person Arumugam of Aranthangi was killed on Saturday when the two-wheeler he was riding hit against a motor-bike coming from the opposite direction.
The incident happened on the Aranthangi-Avudaiyarkovil road, the police said. The Aranthangi police have registered a case.

The driver of a mini-lorry Senthil was killed when the vehicle collided with a bus at Sekkuvasalpatti near Gandarvakottai on Saturday. The mini-lorry was coming from Madurai while the bus was going in the opposite direction, the police said.
Another occupant of the mini-lorry, Subramanian, who was injured, was admitted to the Thanjavur Medical College Hospital.
The Gandarvakottai police have registered a case.
