Ronen Sen to appear before privileges panel today
Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI: Ronen Sen, India’s Ambassador to the United States, will appear before the Privileges Committee of the Lok Sabha on Monday in connection with the privilege issue pending against him for his controversial “headless chickens” comment while referring to those opposing the Indo-U.S. civilian nuclear deal.
Authoritative sources said Mr. Sen would be asked to explain his conduct and apologise unconditionally.
It will be perhaps the first time in Parliamentary history that a top ranking diplomat would be subjected to a sharp examination by lawmakers.
