Award for thesis

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The award instituted by the University of Kerala for the best doctoral thesis in Malayalam will be given to the thesis ‘Elements of Modernism in Paintings and Novels – A Comparative Study’ prepared by Smitha Gopal.

The annual award was instituted this year as part of the ongoing ‘Suvarna Keralam’ celebrations of the university and would be given away during the three-day conference on Malayalam beginning November 1.

The award carries a prize money of Rs.50,000 and a citation. The thesis was prepared under the guidance of Reader at the Department of Malayalam Valsala Baby.
