Kozhikode: Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) will open 103 more petrol pumps under the Kisan Seva Kendra project in the rural areas of the State. IOC already has 92 petrol pumps under the project in the State. There are nine petrol pumps under the project in Kozhikode district. The Kisan Seva Kendra petrol pumps ensure that customers get essential commodities other than petroleum products. These pumps sell an average of 25,000 litres of petrol, 35,000 litres of diesel and 200 litres of Servo oil a month. There are some Kisan Seva Kendra pumps in the State that sell up to 70,000 litres of petrol a month, Soman Mathews, Chief Divisional Retail Sales Manager, IOC, said in a release here recently. Sasya stores of the Vegetable and Fruit and Promotion Council Keralam function in some of the Kisan Seva Kendra petrol pumps of IOC. IOC is planning to open Milma, Moneygram and Supplyco outlets in these pumps. Applications are invited for the newly planned 103 petrol pumps. The last date for submitting applications is November 2, the release said.
