CHENNAI: The Government is likely to announce the name of architect for the proposed Assembly complex project within 10 days.
Though seven architectural firms have been shortlisted, only three submitted designs along with physical models to the Government last week, according to an official in the Public Works Department. The three firms are, Burt Hill, Pittsburg, United States, GMP International GmbH, Berlin, Germany and C.R. Narayana Rao Architects & Engineers, Chennai. A technical committee will submit its findings to the Government. Representatives of each company made a presentation before the Chief Minister. A. Raja, Union Minister for Information Technology and Communications; Arcot N. Veerasami, Electricity Minister; and Durai Murugan, Public Works Minister were present.
