Lucknow: Two children were killed in the Army firing range of Jhansi Cantonment today when an anti-tank shell they were tinkering around with exploded. An unexploded shell of an anti-tank launcher was lying in the firing range and the children, who were playing there, picked it up, a UP Home Department spokesman told reporters here. The firing range is in a “prohibited area”, he said but alleged that children from nearby villages used to enter there and play with exploded shells.
