Chitradurga: The District Civic Employees’ Association has termed the charges made by Sridhar, who has formed an alternative wing of the association, baseless. Mr. Sridhar recently convened a press conference opposing the functioning of the State association. He had questioned the legality of the State presidential post being held by G.S. Manjunath. According to him, the rules do not allow non-civic employees to become members of the association. Speaking to presspersons here on Tuesday, district president H. Mahantesh said the association did not have any such rule, since the State unit had amended the bylaws to allow non-civic employees to become members of the executive body. Creation of riftHe said Mr. Sridhar was only trying to create a rift in the association.
