Cracker sales target set at Rs. 30 lakh

PUDUKKOTTAI: Pudukkottai Urban Cooperative Store has fixed a sales target of Rs. 30 lakhs through its Mega Cracker Shop at Rajarani Complex.
Union Minister of State for Environment and Forests S. Regupathy launched the sales on Monday.
He aid quality crackers of new makes would be sold through the cooperative store in public interest.
The crackers procured on a wholesale basis would be sold at reduced costs through the cooperative store, he said.
The Minister added that cracker shop branches would soon be inaugurated at Pudukkottai East Second Street, Viralimalai and Ponnamaravathi.
District Panchayat President C. Muthusami, Joint Registrar of Cooperatives Rama Jayampandian and senior officials were present on the occasion.
