Chittoor: The Municipal Council meeting held here on Tuesday has constituted panel, contract and head masters’ committees comprising seven councillor members in each committee.
Chairperson Sarala Mary presided over the meeting. The newly joined Municipal Commissioner Charles Umapathy said that the panel committee will deal with appointments, while the contract committee will deal with the works taken up in the municipality. Head-masters’ committee will attend to the appointments of head masters in high schools and teachers in primary schools according to the list provided by the DEO.
Further, the actions taken by the committees will be placed in the general body meeting of the Municipal Council for approval. Earlier the municipal employees welcomed Mr. Umapathy and felicitated the outgoing commissioner Rajendra Prasad.
