Audit of discoms sought

NEW DELHI: Zonal representatives of various residents’ welfare associations met Delhi Power Minister A. K. Walia on Monday to seek an independent audit of the assets and performance of the discoms in the past five years.

“We believe this will signal a sincere attempt by the Delhi Government to remove all doubts of consumers who have been at the receiving end ever since privatisation of the Delhi Vidyut Board,” said Sanjay Kaul, chairperson of United RWAs Joint Action.
