Court rejects plea for stay

BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday orally refused to stay the action of the Chief Secretary in withdrawing the nomination of members to Agriculture Produce Marketing Committees (APMCs), cooperatives, banks and other organisations. Two members of banks, whose nominations to the board were withdrawn, had challenged this action. Justice N. Kumar refused to pass any interim order of stay as sought for by the petitioners and adjourned hearing on the petitions.
