KARIMNAGAR: The NCC training module has been reorganised to attract more students into the fold and promote discipline and leadership qualities among citizens.
The three-year NCC training for the senior division has been reduced to two years and now the cadets could secure the `C’ certificate in two years and `B’ certificate in one year. The annual training camp period has been reduced from 12 days to 10 days and the maximum age limit to enrol into the NCC has been reduced to 24 years from the existing 26 years.
SRR Degree and PG College associate NCC officer in Karimnagar town, B. Madhusudhan Reddy told The Hindu on Tuesday that the reduction of three years training to two years would enable degree students to complete the training in two years and concentrate more on academic activities in their final year.
