CBSE schools’ plea opposed

BANGALORE: The Government on Tuesday opposed before the Karnataka High Court a suggestion by some Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Indian Schools Certificate Examination (ISCE) schools to post their petitions before a Full Bench.
A Full Bench had heard for several days petitions against the language policy. Counsel for the schools said the Full Bench was yet to deliver its judgment and, hence, the petitions by CBSE and ISCE schools to could be tagged with the language issue.
Additional Government Advocate, B. Manohar, who appeared for the Government, opposed the suggestion and said the issue of medium of instruction could not be clubbed with the language policy. Justice Mohan Shantangouder adjourned hearing on the case to November.
