Uma Khurana let off, three charge-sheeted

New Delhi: Schoolteacher Uma Khurana, who figured in the fake TV sting operation on an alleged prostitution racket, was on Tuesday let off by the Delhi police, which however charge-sheeted the Live India TV reporter and two others.

Reporter Prakash Singh and his two associates — businessman Prakash and aspiring journalist Rashmi — faced charges of criminal conspiracy and cheating for allegedly maligning Ms. Khurana.

Filing the charge sheet in the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Alok Agarwal, the Crime Branch alleged that Prakash in a criminal conspiracy with businessman Virender Arora tried to settle their personal scores through the fake sting. — PTI
