“Need to reach out to people”

NEW DELHI: The Army Wives’ Welfare Association’s second bi-annual conference that focused on a number of social issues concluded here over the weekend. The six-day conference was chaired by the AWWA president Kirti Kapoor, who took over the mantle from Anupama Singh this past month. Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Kapoor stressed the need to reach out to the people and take the Government’s schemes and programmes to the remote and underserved areas. Ms. Kapoor conferred the “AWWA Awards of Excellence” on six women
