THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Traffic will be regulated in the city in connection with the three-day visit of President Pratibha Patil from October 31 to November 2. Traffic will be regulated at Airport, Shanghumugham, All Saints College, Chakka, Pettah, General Hospital, Asan Square, P.M.G., R.R.Lamp, Museum, Vellayambalam and Kowdiar on Wednesday evening. Traffic regulations on Thursday morning will be at Vellayambalam, Museum, Palayam, Statue and Central Stadium route, General Hospital, Pettah, Chakka, Eenchakkal, Thiruvallom and Kovalam. On Friday morning, traffic will be regulated at Vellayambalam, Museum, R.R.Lamp, Palayam, General Hospital, Pettah, Chakka, All Saints, Shanghumugham and Airport routes. Parking facilityGuests who participate in the programme at Hotel Mascot on Wednesday evening must park vehicles inside the hotel compound, L.M.S. Hostel compound and L.M.S. Church compound. For the public function at the Central Stadium on Thursday morning, Ministers must park vehicles inside the Secretariat compound. Other vehicles with passes should be parked at NABARD compound, Muthoot Hotel compound, Punnan Road and Bakery Road. Vehicles should reach the venue before 9.30 a.m. School buses should be parked at the Thycaud police ground, Bakery Junction and Model School Junction. Change in bus routeOn all the three-days KSRTC buses proceeding to Thampanoor and East Fort via Pattom will be diverted via Pattom-Marappalam-Kuravankonam-Ambalamukku-Oolanpara-Sasthamangalam and Edappazhanji route. Buses from East Fort to Pettah, Kannanmoola and All Saints will proceed via Uppidamood, Vanchiyoor and Pattur. Buses from Peroorkkada to Thampanoor and East Fort will proceed via Oolanpara, Sasthamangalam, Edappazhinji, and Xanadu. Vehicles will not be allowed to park alongside VVIP routes or connecting routes.
