ADILABAD: Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) on Tuesday purchased cotton at Adilabad market yard offering a price of Rs. 2,250 per quintal that was Rs.50 more than the price offered by private purchasers. This made farmers happy because the price was slowly being decreased by private purchasers.

Earlier, the Akhila Paksha Rythu Sangham had represented to Joint Collector G. Ravi Babu about the CCI not stating its operations.
