Man knocked down by tempo

NEW DELHI: An unidentified young man was knocked down by a tempo near the Kashmere Gate Inter-Bus Service Terminus here on Monday. The driver fled from the spot leaving the vehicle behind.

According to the police, the accident took place at 2-30 p.m. when the tempo was going towards Shahdara from Tis Hazari. The pedestrian, who was crossing the road, was hit by the vehicle. He died on the spot.

The police have registered a case and launched a hunt for the driver.
