CBI questions four Kolkata police officers

Special Correspondent

KOLKATA: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday questioned four Kolkata police officers in connection with the death of computer graphics teacher Rizwanur Rahman.

They were among the five recently transferred by the West Bengal Government following their alleged involvement in the circumstances that led to the death of Rahman. His body was found near the rail tracks near here on September 21, weeks after his marriage to Priyanka, daughter of a city industrialist. Her father was opposed to the marriage.

The CBI began questioning the police officers on Monday. Earlier, several others, including members of the families of Rahman and Priyanka, were interrogated by the investigating agency.
