Chennai: Dideesh Chatterjee (Hariyana Vidya Mandir, Kolkata) set a new meet record in the 100m boys’ under-19 breaststroke event (1:17.28) in the CBSE National swimming championships, organised by the Kola Sarawsathi Vaishnav Senior Secondary School, at the SDAT Aquatics Complex, Velachery, on Tuesday. Arbanjeet Gaur (Golden Earth Global School) and Harika Reddy (SBOA, Chennai) established new meet marks in the girls’ under-19 100m breaststroke and 100m backstroke events respectively. The results (winners only): Boys: 100m breaststroke: Under-19: Dideesh Chatterjee (Hariyana Vidya Mandir, Kolkata) 1:17.28 NMR (OR 1:18.23); Under-16: Shrey Goyal (Bosco Public School, Delhi) 1:17.91 NMR (OR 1: 18.33). 100m freestyle: Under-14: Jayawanth Vijayakumar (Chettinad Vidyashram, Chennai) 1:00.63 NMR (OR 1:01.35); 100m backstroke: Under-19: 1. S.R. Sharath (SBOA, Chennai) 1:05.00.
