Cradle Baby Scheme launch on December 9

PUDUCHERRY: Social Welfare Minister M. Kandasamy on Tuesday said the government would launch the Cradle Baby Scheme on December 9, Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s birthday.

The Minister, who visited the Government Children’s Home at Ariyankuppam near here, said as the scheme was being named after her, it would be apt to launch it on that day. Social Welfare Director Priytarshny was present.
