Hartal call: case adjourned

Kochi: A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court on Wednesday adjourned to November 1 the hearing on a public interest writ petition filed by the Kerala Anti-Hartal Campaign Committee against the holding of hartal by the BJP on November 1.

The Bench comprising Chief Justice H.L. Dattu and Justice K.T. Sankaran, however, directed the government pleader to get the government’s view on the plea of the petitioner for taking steps to see that public life was not disrupted due to the hartal.
