Maize procurement

BANGALORE: With the Union Government announcing a minimum support price of Rs. 620 a quintal for maize, the following organisations have been allotted districts to procure maize: The Karnataka Food and Civil Supplies Corporation has to obtain maize from Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Chamarajanagar, Chikmagalur, Kolar, Kodagu, Mandya, Raichur, Tumkur, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Dharwad districts; the Karnataka State Co-operative Marketing Federation from Gadag, Haveri, Belgaum, Bagalkot, Hassan, Koppal, Bijapur, Gulbarga, Bidar and Uttara Kannada; Karnataka State Warehousing Corporation from Davangere and Chitradurga; the Food Corporation of India from Bellary and Shimoga districts. — Staff Reporter
