Rajyotsava for prisoners

BANGALORE: The Karnataka State Legal Services Authority (KSLSA) and the Department of Prisons have jointly organised Rajyotsava celebrations for prisoners at the Bangalore Central jail at Parappana Agrahara on November 1.
Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court Cyriac Joseph, and the Executive Chairman of the KSLSA and judge of the Karnataka High Court, V. Gopala Gowda, told presspersons here on Wednesday that Governor Rameshwar Thakur would be the chief guest at the function.
The function called “We care for you” was aimed to convey to prisoners the message that society sympathised with them.
The Chief Justice said such functions would be held at all prisons across the State.
