Samir Suhag on song

NEW DELHI: Samir Suhag struck seven times as Sixt defeated Arty/Riviera 12-5 in a league match of the Bhopal-Pataudi Cup polo tournament at the Army Equestrian Centre, Delhi Cantonment here on Wednesday.

Uday Kalaan, Sunjay J. Kapur (two each) and A. Panchal were the other scorers for the winning team. Arty/Riviera, which started with a two-goal advantage on handicap scored through Aroonpal (two) and Jagat Singh.

In the second match, JPC defeated RVC 8-4. Manupal Godara (five), Lokendra Singh, Varun Sharma and Tarun Bilwal scored for JPC. RVC, which enjoyed a half-goal advantage on handicap, found the mark through Tarsem Singh (two), Jai Shergill and S.S. Kashyap.

In the last league match of the day, Sehgal/Jindal beat Kingfisher First 8-6. Dhruvpal Godara (six), Simran Shergill and Prathik Nidadavolu scored for the winning team. Angad Kalaan (4), Adhiraj Singh and Deepankar Sharma were on target for the losing side. —Special Correspondent
