Cherran Arts is champion

Coimbatore: Cherran Arts and Science College (Kangeyam) topped the league table to emerge champion in the Bharathiar University inter-collegiate hockey tournament for women here on Wednesday.

Bharathiar University Departments (BUD) and PKR Arts (Gobichettipalayam), with six and three points respectively, took the second and third spots.

The results (league): Cherran bt PKR 12-0; bt Vellalar (Erode) 16-0; bt BUD 2-0.

BUD bt Vellalar 12-0; bt PKR 3-1.

PKR bt Vellalar 5-1.
