Notice issued to Jayalalithaa

CHENNAI: The Assembly has sent former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa a notice seeking an explanation on the motion of privilege raised against her.

Speaker R. Avudaiappan had referred to the privileges committee an issue raised by Local Administration Minister M.K. Stalin against Ms. Jayalalithaa. Mr. Stalin told the House that Ms. Jayalalithaa had alleged at a press conference that he and Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi were planning to eliminate her.
