HYDERABAD: The annual The Hindu-Young World Painting Competition will be held in Hyderabad on November 25. There is no entry form or fee. Those desirous of participating in the competition may send their drawings for the preliminary round to The Hindu, 6-3-879 & 879B, Begumpet Public Road, either in person or by post by November 8 with the school endorsement. Letters intimating those selected for the finals will be despatched by November 10. This year’s edition of the competitions too, will be conducted in juniors (for students from classes IV to VII) and seniors (from classes VIII to X) categories. In each category, first, second and third prizes will be awarded apart from seven more consolation prizes. Finalists will receive a certificate of participation. TopicsThe topics for juniors are - 1. You and your computer 2. At the swimming pool 3. Visit to a flower garden and 4. Kite-flying at the beach. The topics for seniors are – 1. Boat ride in a river 2. Train crossing a bridge. 3.
