Blueline victim dies in hospital

NEW DELHI: The 15-year-old boy who was knocked down by a Blueline bus in New Friends Colony here on Tuesday succumbed to his injuries at Apollo Hospital late at night. Manu Gupta was a Class IX student of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya No. 4 in Sarojini Nagar. He and his friends Satbir and Simranjeet, who are students of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya No. 1 in the same area, were waiting for a mini-bus near the Modi Mill flyover when the Blueline hit them. A 22-year-old woman, Mansi, was also injured. While Manu sustained serious injuries on the chest and legs, the others escaped with minor injuries. His condition deteriorated and he was declared dead around midnight.
