Checks conducted

Officials of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board conducted surprise checks in Palakkarai division in the city on Tuesday. About 896 connections were checked during the drive conducted by a team of about 15 engineers. Violations and faults in meters were detected in a few cases and follow-up action was ordered, said a TNEB press release.
