Staff Reporter

Last chance to enrol in voters’

list this year

Special drive on November 4 and November 11

BANGALORE: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will start revision of electoral rolls in all the 12 Assembly constituencies in the city from November 2.

The process will be on till November 17.

This is the last chance for the public to enrol their names in the voters’ list this year.

All those who complete 18 years on January 1, 2008 and those who want to include corrections in the existing voters’ list can submit Form No. 6 and Form No. 8 respectively at the designated centres, according to an official release.

People can apply for change of address by submitting Form No. 8A and Form No. 7 if they have any objections.

The forms can be obtained from the ARO and RO offices and should be enclosed with documents to show address and age proofs, the release said. The BBMP has appointed 668 designated officers to accept filled applications.

The draft electoral rolls will be published in all the centres besides the offices of the Assistant Revenue Officers (ARO), Revenue Officers (RO) and the Head office on November 2.

Citizens can have a look at the draft list to ensure their names figure in them.

The civic body has stipulated two special drive days – November 4 and November 11 (Saturday and Sunday) for the convenience of citizens. The centres will function from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on these days and between 10 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. on other days.

Last date

The last date to enrol in the list of Bangalore Teachers and Karnataka South-East Graduates Constituency is November 6. The draft list will be displayed on November 23 and the final list will be published on December 31.

Graduates, whose names are missing from the list, can enrol their names using form number 18/19 before November 6. They can submit objections after the draft list is published on November 23. The last date to submit objections is December 7.
