Mullaperiyar dam level reaches 136.4 feet

KUMiLI: The level in the Mullaperiyar dam touched 136.4 feet in the early hours of Wednesday as drainage from the dam’s catchments continued.

The flow into the dam was estimated to be 2,813 cubic feet per second while the water being drained into Tamil Nadu through penstock pipes and the Erachipara canal was put at 1,793 cubic feet per second.

Drainage to Idukki was 262 cubic feet per second.
