CCPA meet today

New Delhi: The Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs (CCPA) will meet here on Thursday to discuss the Karnataka issue.

The meeting will consider the “comprehensive” report sent on Wednesday night by Governor Rameshwar Thakur to the Centre on the political situation.

The CCPA is expected to recommend to the President revocation of Central rule and revival of the Assembly that has been kept under suspended animation.

A Congress Core Group meeting, attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi, discussed the political situation in the State .

Top party leaders and Union Ministers were present. — PTI
