Tells him not to cross over to Congress

BANGALORE: The former Karnataka Chief Minister, H.D. Kumaraswamy, on Wednesday called on the former Deputy Chief Minister, M.P. Prakash, and requested him to not to cross over to the Congress.
This is the second meeting between the two in three days after Mr. Prakash raised a banner of revolt, which nearly split the Janata Dal (Secular). The JD(S) leadership said it was Mr. Prakash’s action that prompted it to align with the Bharatiya Janata Party to stake claim to form a government.
Mr. Kumaraswamy told The Hindu that he was confident Mr. Prakash would return to the JD(S) mainstream in a few days.
“Mr. Prakash has clearly told me that he would not like to be a part of the BJP-JD(S) government. However, if the Governor were to turn down the plea of B.S. Yeddyurappa to form a government, then Mr. Prakash would return to the mainstream of the party straightway.”
The JD(S) legislators are lodged at a private resort near Ramanagaram on Mysore Road, while Mr. Kumaraswamy is shuttling between Bangalore and Ramanagaram.
