Special grievance day meet

VIRUDHUNAGAR: The Backward Classes Welfare Minister, K.K.S.S.R. Ramachandran, will participate in a special grievance day meeting for residents of Aruppukottai taluk at Aruppukottai on Saturday.

In a statement, the Collector, V. Chandrasekaran, said that petitions received at the meeting would be processed and benefits to eligible persons handed over within 15 days at another meeting to be held at the same place.

People should hand over separate petitions if they sought benefits under different schemes. The meeting would commence at 9.30 a.m. at Jaya Vilas Subbaraj Hall near Devangar Higher Secondary School.

Arrangements had been made to draft petitions for the benefit of those who required help at the venue. According to an official press release, petitioners would be given an acknowledgement and officials from all departments would be present at the venue.
