Teacher robbed of cash

RASIPURAM: Two unidentified persons robbed Rs. 1.15 lakh from a teacher on a knife point near here on Wednesday.

Police said that Rajendran, working in a private school, was riding his motorcycle when two persons blocked his way and robbed the cash.

He registered a complaint with the police.

Further investigations are on and hunt are on for the two.

Gold chain snatched

An unidentified person snatched five sovereigns of gold chain from a woman and fled in Salem on Thursday.

Police said Renuka of Valparai, working as a pharmacist in a private clinic here, was walking on the road, when the incident took place.
