Congressmen stage demonstration

AMBUR: More than 150 members of the Ambur Town Congress Committee staged a demonstration near the Rajiv Gandhi statue here to condemn the recent attack on Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president M. Krishnaswamy.

E. Suresh Babu, president, Ambur Town Congress Committee, led the demonstration.

The protestors wanted the State government to take steps to arrest the culprits immediately under the Goondas Act.

Councillors K. Yuvaraj and T.M. Dakshinamoorthy, Indian National Trade Union Congress district president A. Krishnan and Ambur Town Student Congress Committee president M. Kotteswaran took part in the protest.
