Kakinada: The Minister for small-scale industries and khadi village industries Gollapalli Suryarao has said that 3,000 acres would be distributed to the poor on November 19 in the fourth round of land distribution programme in East Godavari district.
Participating as the chief guest at the Andhra Pradesh formation day celebrations at Ambedkar Bhavan here on Thursday, he said Rajiv Arogya Sri scheme also would be launched in the district on December 5.
If any of the white cardholder families are suffering from diseases such as heart, kidney and cancer, he said, they can avail free treatment up to Rs.2 lakhs in Corporate hospitals.
Under the NREGS, he said, 16,121 works were sanctioned at a cost of Rs.301.40 crores in various parts of the district to provide employment to the workers.
