BERHAMPUR: Twentytwo wild elephants have started to create panic in villages under Ghumusar North forest division of Ganjam district. According to forest officials these elephants are roaming near villages like Gereda, Gunduribadi, Sadera etc. It is alleged that they have destroyed large areas of paddy fields near these villages. On Thursday the DFO of Ghumusar north division sent a team of forest officials with crackers and torches to ward off the wild pachyderms from the vicinity of human habitats.
