RSP registers record production

BHUBANESWAR: Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has achieved outstanding performance during October in sinter production, hot metal and crude steel output surpassing earlier best figures.

Besides, best ever production for any month of October since inception was also recorded in total saleable steel with 1,81,641 tonnes and dispatch of steel with 1,92,100 tonnes, an RSP release said here on Thursday.

Moreover, the steel plant achieved capacity utilisation of 118 per cent in sinter production, 119 per cent in hot metal, 118 per cent in crude steel and a massive 128 per cent capacity utilization in the production of total saleable steel, it said.
